Tanaiste Michael Martin has confirmed that the Government won't be intervening as it relates to wind farm applications.

 

There's still an active investigation into the Meenbog landslide in Donegal which happened in 2020 close to a windfarm development in the area.

Now there's concern around plans for a wind farm development in the Gweebara area which also has a 'sensitive landscape'.

 

Speaking in the Dail, Independent TD Thomas Pringle says there have been many bogslides in the North West and the Government need to take a handle on the situation:
