Fears over potential tragedy at Sligo junction

There are genuine fears that there will be a tragedy at a junction leading onto the N17 in Sligo.

It's understood that there have already been several minor crashes at the junction which is the turn off to Ballymote.

Sligo County Council has agreed to work with the TII in a bid to find a solution.

Fine Gael Cllr Dara Mulvey says it's an extremely busy road, and people are effectively taking their lives in their hands using it:
