FF selection convention for Donegal MD taking place tonight

Fianna Fáil members in the Donegal Municipal District are holding their selection convention for the upcoming local elections this evening.

Claudia Kennedy, Martin Hegarty and sitting Fianna Fail Cllr Michael Naughton have been nominated.

All three are expected to be added to the party ticket.

The convention is taking place in the Millpark Hotel at 8pm.

Kennedy, who is a secondary school teacher, previously contested a county council election in 2014 in the Stranorlar Electoral area.

Martin Hegarty, a Kilcar native, is currently the residential services manager at Carrick sheltered housing and member of St Cartha's pipe band.
