Fianna Fail selects its three local election candidates in south Donegal

Fianna Fail has selected its local election candidates to run in the south Donegal area.

Those chosen at a selection convention last night were sitting councillor Micheal Naughton from Laghey, Roger Meehan from Dunkineely and Philip McGlynn, a former Bundoran Town councillor.

A minutes silence was observed in memory of the late Cllr Sean McEniff and John 'the Cope' Gallagher, a brother of Deputy Pat 'the Cope' Gallagher, who died in the Shetland Islands.

Chairman of the convention in the Mill Park Hotel in Donegal Town was Sligo/Leitrim TD Eamon Scanlon.
