Fine Gael has confirmed that a third candidate has been added to the ticket for 2019 local elections in the Sligo/Drumcliffe electoral area of County Sligo.
However, the party chairman of the Sligo/ Drumcliffe electoral says he has received no official notice about the move.
Ocean FM News reported over the weekend that Ciara McLoughlin, daughter-in-law of the Sligo/Leitrim TD Tony McLoughlin, has been added to the party ticket by party headquarters.
A selection convention has already chosen Thomas Walsh and Tom Fox to run in the area.
Asked by Ocean FM News about the addition of a third candidate, the party chair of the Sligo/Drumcliffe electoral area John Waters said he had received no such notice.

However, Fine Gael Regional Organiser Enda McGloin confirmed to Ocean FM News today that Ciara McLoughlin has been added as a candidate to run in the Sligo/Drumcliffe electoral area.
