Fine Gael is said to be seeking to reclaim the Agriculture ministry when Government formation talks resume.
Donegal and Fianna Fail TD Charlie McConalogue currently holds the brief.
It's reported today though that Fine Gael is keen to take over the portfolio, with outgoing Minister of State in the Department of Agriculture Martin Haydon mooted as potentially taking over the reins.
It's also said that Fianna Fail will likely want to retain the role themselves.

Government formation talks are set to resume on Monday.
