Sligo/Leitrim Fine Gael TD Tony McLoughlin has strongly refuted claims that he is to blame for any delay in getting a new garda station for Sligo.
Deputy McLoughlin describes the allegations made this week by Sligo Fianna Fail Councillor Tom MacSharry as 'false.'
He adds that he wishes to confirm that a new garda headquarters for Sligo/Leitrim area is 'very much going ahead.'
He told Ocean FM the project is currently being advanced and that he received confirmation of this in the Dail from the Minister for Justice.
