The deployment of soldiers from Finner Camp to go to Lebanon is set to get ahead as planned.
That's according to a spokesperson for the Irish Defence Forces, who also stated that no decision to the contrary has been made at this time.
This is in light of increased danger in the region, where a number of Irish Defence personnel in Lebanon have been ordered to leave the outpost on the Blue Line, the de facto border with Israel.
More than 2,000 people have been killed there in the last year of fighting according to Lebanese officials.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military has issued new evacuation alerts for areas of south Lebanon.
