Fire service issue warning for the Larhill area of Sligo

Fires services in Sligo have appealed for homeowners and businesses in the Larkhill area of the town to keep their windows and doors closed following a fire involving asbestos and Hazardous materials.

Fire fighters were alerted to the blaze before 5 A.M this morning.

Householders have been warned that windows and doors need to remain shut until further notice because of the presence of fibres in the air.

The blaze happened in a shed at a domestic premises.

The fire services and gardaí are attending the scene.
