Five men arrested following disturbance at Co. Donegal church

Five men have been arrested following a disturbance at a Co. Donegal church.

The public order incident between a number of people happened at the Church of the Irish Martyrs in Letterkenny at around 11.30 yesterday morning, just as Mass was about to begin.

Gardai have confirmed that five men, aged in their 60s and 30s, were subsequently arrested and a number of weapons were seized at the scene.

They have since been charged and are due to appear before the courts today.

Gardai also say that investigations ongoing.
