Gardai have issued a warning over high tides and strong currents at Deadman’s Point at Rosses Point.
It’s after five swimmers were rescued from the water yesterday in three separate incidents.
A multiagency operation including the RNLI and Rescue 118 was launched yesterday evening to assist two swimmers who had gotten into difficulty.
Two other swimmers were rescued by a fishing boat while another was assisted by a fellow swimmer.
Gardai are urging people to be on the alert as high tides are set to continue at Rosses Point for the coming days.
