A fleet of Garda motorbikes have arrived to Donegal ahead of the Donegal International Rally.
The extra resources will form part of a major police operation over the course of the weekend.
Thousands of car enthusiasts are to begin descending on the County from today onwards.
Gardaí are warning that they will be out in force this weekend and, as always, will be applying a zero tolerance approach in relation to dangerous driving, drink and drug driving and bad driver behaviour in general.
They will also be conducting numerous checkpoints, speed checks and high visibility patrols throughout the county over the course of the weekend.
They say that bad driver behaviour and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.
