A status yellow fog alert has been issued for counties Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal for this evening and overnight.
Commencing from 6pm on Saturday evening, patches of fog and freezing fog will be present in the region and will thicken tonight.

The weather warning issued by Met Éireann concludes at 9am on Sunday morning.
Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to show increased caution during this period as visibility is expected to be severely reduced.
