A status yellow fog warning is in place across the North West this morning.
Motorists are advised to expect dense fog patches resulting in reduced visibility and poor driving conditions.
The alert will remain in place until 11am
Brian Farrell, communications manager for the Road Safety Authority advised pedestrians to only cross at pedestrian crossings where it is safe. He also reminded drivers to use their fog lights.
