A former Sligo councillor is starting a petition to save what is the only external bank teller machine in Ballymote.
It follows the decision of Bank of Ireland to close its branch in the town next September.
Keith Henry, a former Fianna Fail councillor who lives in Ballymote, says Bank of Ireland should not be allowed go ahead with its decision without a fight from the local people.
