Renewed warnings are being issued to homeowners in Leitrim following a number of properties reported to have been reported into in the Annaghearly/Kilclare/Drumshanbo areas.
It's understood that at least one of the properties was empty at the time.
Local community social media pages in the area have urged homeowners to take extra security precautions if they are travelling over the Christmas period.
Gardai have confirmed to Ocean FM news that four burglaries have been reported to them so far in December.
