Friends of Sligo Gaol are holding their Bicentenary conference this weekend.
Today, at around now they are hosting their Michael Collins commemoration.
He spent time in the gaol 100 years ago so today there are specially themed tours taking place for ticket holders.

While later today a portrait will be unveiled painted by local artist Emma Stroude.
