The Health Service Executive (HSE) has announced that Doctor Janinda Muhandiramge has been formally appointed as GP in the Dunkineely area.
Doctor Muhandiramge's full-time post will will come into effect from Monday, January 30.
The Dunkineely Health Centre had been without a GP since mid-November when Dr Charles McManus left to take up a role in a Glenties practice.
At that time, patients were advised that they would be cared for in the Glenties practice until a replacement was found.
