Almost €2m has been allocated for group water schemes for 2019 in counties Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.
More than €664,000 is going to Donegal, Leitrim is getting almost €693,000 while Sligo will receive €552,000.
Between now and 2021 under a multi-annual programme, more than €2.7m will go to schemes in Donegal, €2.1m to Leitrim and just over €2m to Sligo.
Sligo/Leitrim Fine Gael general election candidate Senator Frank Feighan says it's important rural areas get the same service as those in urban areas.
