Significant funding has been announced to enhance and refurbish community centres in the Ocean FM franchise area.
The announcement, made today by the Minister for Community and Rural Development, Heather Humphreys is part of the Community Centres Investment Fund to enhance and refurbish centres across the country.
Successful community centre projects announced today will receive grants up to €25,000.
In Donegal, the Bluestack Foundation Community Centre is to receive just shy of €22,000. €25,000 has been allocated to both Cully Hall and Foresters Community Hall and €24,000 to Dunkineely Community Centre Association.
€15,600 is on the way to The Niall Mór Community Centre in Killybegs and €10,700 euro to Leghawny Community Centre.
In north Leitrim, €25,000 in funding has been also allocated to Kiltyclogher Community Centre, Rossinver Community Centre is to receive almost €21,000 and The Organic Centre has pocketed just over €10,000.
Finally in Sligo, both Maugherow Ballinfull Community Partnership and MCR Community Centre and Sports Hall are to receive 25 thousand euro.
A number of projects are to receive over to €22,000. These are Cliffoney Community Hall, Curry Community Development Group, Eastern Harps community Building, Marion Hall Calry Community Centre, Skreen Dromard Community Centre, Sligo Northside Community Centre.
€15,670 and €8,071 has been allocated to Merville Community Centre and An Chroi Digital Community Hub.
