Almost a million euro has been announced for third-level education in Sligo in the past week.
IT Sligo is to get almost €580,000 for its apprenticeships courses.
It's part of an allocation of over €8m for ten ITs across the country.
It follows an earlier announcement of €350,000 to enable St Angela's College increase its home economics classes.

Sligo/Leitrim Fine Gael TD Tony McLoughlin says the money for IT Sligo will provide more opportunity for those in the region wishing to do apprenticeships:
