A Sligo Cross-Border Project has been awarded funding under the Shared Island Local Authority Development Funding Scheme.
A total of €150,000 is set to fund an economic assessment of potential for business development along the Sligo, Leitrim and Northern Counties Greenway.
Sligo County Council will be the lead local authority on the project to conducting a study to identify opportunities for business and job creation arising from the future SLNCR Greenway Project.
The funding will also identify infrastructure and other supports to ensure economic benefits for the region.
