Clubs across the north west region have benefited from over €718,000 following a special round of funding under Sports Capital Grants.
It's been announced 11 sports capital projects in Sligo will benefit to the tune of over €218,000 - with Enniscrone Golf Club set to receive over €55,000.
In Donegal, more than €500,000 has been allocated for 18 clubs all across the county with Donegal Bay Sub Aqua Club gaining over €38,000.
Further allocations of major grants under Sports Capital Funding are being assessed and are due to be announced in September.
In Leitrim Lough Rynne Rowing Centre and received €75,700 and Carrick on Shannon rowing club Boats and Oars gained over.
€27,000 Independent Councillor and local election candidate Marie Casserly says the funding will be of huge benefit to clubs in the region.
