The funeral has taken place of Damien Conlon.

The funeral mass of the Sligo native took place earlier today in St. Anne's Church, Cranmore

Mourners consisting of family, friends, neighbours, associates and former colleagues heard how Damien was loved, cherished and adored by all who knew him.

Chief Celebrant Fr. Pat Lombard Parish Priest of Cranmore told the congregation that Damien 'loved a laugh and loved a bit of fun':

Father Lombard also recounted how Damien had moved to Australia and was 'blissfully happy and content':
