Tom Niland's funeral takes place this afternoon at 12 noon.
The 75 year old passed away on Saturday in Sligo University Hospital. He had been in a coma since January 2022, as a result of an aggravated burglary in his home in Skreen.
Three men are currently before the courts charged with aggravated burglary with a knife, assault causing serious harm and false imprisonment of Mr Niland at his home.
The attack rocked the area of Skreen at the time, and many tributes were paid to Mr Niland following his passing this week.

His funeral takes place at 12 noon today in St Adamnan's Church, Skreen, with burial following the requiem mass in St Mary's cemetery afterwards.
