A Garda investigation is continuing this afternoon after a body was found in Sligo town.
The body was found at Hughes Bridge shortly before 1pm on Thursday afternoon.
The remains have been taken to Sligo University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place, which will determine the course of the Garda investigation.
The scene remains closed to assist Garda Forensic Investigators.
A file will be prepared for the coroner.
