Garda investigations at home of deceased Leitrim man

There are reports of a garda forensic investigation at a residence in Rooskey, Co Leitrim.

The family of 87 year old Liam Farrell have previously spoken to OceanFM and called for an investigation into his death in January 2020.

Mr Farrell was found outside of his home, where his family say he had clearly been the victim of an assault.

An inquest into his death earlier this month recorded an open verdict.

In a statement, An Garda Siochana said they are carrying out enquiries following receipt of information from a third party, and that they cannot provide any further information for operational reasons and privacy and confidentiality.
