Gardaí appeal for witnesses following rail passenger theft

Gardaí in Leitrim are appealing for witnesses following the theft from a rail passenger in Carrick-on-Shannon.

The incident occurred at 11.30am at Carrick-on-Shannon train station on Friday, October 25th.

During the course of the incident, a woman's wallet was taken from her bag while she alighted from the train.

It's understood that a significant amount of cash was stolen during the course of the incident.

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity at that time are being asked to contact Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station or the Garda Confidential line.
