Gardai called to Leitrim Tesco store after alleged bomb threat

Gardai have been called to the scene of an incident at Tesco in Carrick-on-Shannon.

The store was evacuated just after 2pm after a reported bomb threat.

The Garda Press Office was unable to confirm the nature of threat but said that store management had evacuated the store and its customers as a precaution.

Gardai are continuing their investigations into the incident.

Tesco says that the store has reopened (4pm update).
