Gardai in Leitrim have confirmed that the body of a missing man found in Carrick-on-Shannon yesterday evening was that of Declan Whyte.
The 30 year old had been missing since February.
The body was found following an intensive search of the Carrick-on-Shannon area by gardai and members of the army.
The Gardai in Carrick-on-Shannon have confirmed that the body has been identified as that of Mr. Whyte but they are not treating the death as suspicious.
