Gardaí are investigating an alleged attack in the Ballinode area of Sligo last night.
It's understood the assault was carried out at around 6pm on Wednesday evening.
It's also thought a number of men were involved. One man was taken to Sligo University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No arrests in relation to the incident have been made. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
