Gardai have confirmed that a number of burglaries have happened across Sligo and Leitrim over the last 24 hours.
As a result, targeted activity including checkpoints and patrols in burglary hot-spots to target offenders are being conducted across the region.
Investigations are continuing.
Gardai are also urging all home and business owners to take the necessary safety precautions.

Lock all doors & windows.
Turn on some lights.
Use an alarm.
Don’t keep large amounts of cash at home.
Store keys away from windows/letter boxes.
