Gardai issue stark warning after speeding clampdown outside Dunkineely National School

Gardai have issued a stark warning after a conducting a speeding clampdown outside Dunkineely National School.

Gardai carried out the operation yesterday in conjunction with traffic calming measures already in place at the school.

A fine was issued to a motorist who was travelling at 84KPH in a 60KPH Zone on approach to the school.

Gardai are reminding people to slow down when approaching a School, abide by the rules of the road and expect the unexpected at all times.

They are also asking motorists not to park illegally when doing School drop offs or pick ups and to follow school traffic management plans that may be in place.
