Gardai have issued a warning ahead of the Donegal International Rally.
The annual event is getting underway this weekend.
In a statement, Gardai say that they have a significant policing operation in place for the event which begins tomorrow and will run until Sunday.
Gardaí will conduct numerous checkpoints, speed checks and high visibility patrols throughout the county over the course of the weekend.
They say that bad driver behaviour and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.
Gardai say that road safety remains their priority as lives continue to be lost on the country's roads and with thousands of people expected to travel to Donegal this weekend, they're urging road users to be vigilant and adhere to the rules of the road.
Concluding, Gardai are warning motorists to leave the rally driving to the competitors and keep the race in its place.
