Four gardai rescued a young woman from the Garavogue River in Sligo last night.
The incident occurred on part of the river near John F Kennedy Parade in the town.
It's understood one of four gardai used a wet suit he had in his car.
The four gardai worked together to bring the woman to safety from the river, which was in full-flow at the time after previous heavy rain.
It's the latest of a number of recent incidents in which gardai and others have rescued people from the Garavogue and other rivers in the area.
