Both An Garda Siochana and Sligo County Council have agreed to work together in a bid to address issues of some road users abusing the one way system in Sligo.
It follows numerous reports of motorists not abiding by the system with concern that someone could be seriously injured as a result.

The issue was raised at the latest Sligo Joint Policing Committee by local Sinn Fein Cllr Arthur Gibbons.
Cllr Gibbons believes while a plan is good, a solution needs to be found urgently and feels the installation of cameras at problem areas would work well:
