With more people staying in Ireland for their holidays this year, gardai have issued a warning about the theft of caravans and campervans.
43 caravans and campervans have been stolen between January 2019 and this July.
Two of these thefts were in Donegal with two also in Cavan/Monaghan.
In the past four years, €30m worth of items have been stolen from caravans and campervans.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Bernadette Leetch says that with more staycations this year, there is a need for extra vigilance.
