The Chief Superintendent in Sligo Leitrim is urging all road-users to be patient on the roads this Christmas.
Aidan Glacken says we all have a personal responsibility on the roads at all times but especially during these dark evenings.
He's urging people to mindful of other roadusers.
And he reminds us of the impact road deaths have on everyone especially families:
