A north Sligo councillor is raising concerns over the location of telecommunications masts in some scenic areas.
Fianna Fail Councillor Donal Gilroy was told at a meeting of Sligo County Council that masts under a certain height are exempt from planning permission.
He says his raised the issue after a number of people came to him about a new mast that was erected near the N15 between Grange and Cliffoney.
