A book with a difference has just been published by an east Sligo community.
It has been put together by people in the parish of Gleann and was originally intended to coincide with a reunion of pupils and families connected with the now-closed Gleann National School.
Because of the Covid pandemic, the reunion had to be put on hold . . . for now.
But a local committee went ahead with the publication of the 288-page book that's packed with stories, full-colour photographs, reminiscences, local history and interviews with local people.
Committee Chairman Liam Brennan has been telling Ocean FM News about Gleann and the new book.
