Goretti Sheridan to become new Donegal Garda Chief Superintendent

Goretti Sheridan will be the new Chief Superintendent in Donegal.

It's understood her appointment is to be confirmed in the coming days.

Currently a superintendent in Letterkenny, Sheridan has also served in Sligo and Castlerea.

The Rathmullan native will be the first locally-based Chief Superintendent since Donegal became a stand-alone Garda division last year.
