Government Investment & further infrastructure required to address vacant commercial property levels

The Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council says continued investment is the solution to tackling the issue of large amounts of vacant commercial property in the County.

A recent survey from the Geo Directory stated has the highest level of vacant commercial property in the Country.

There are also a large number of unoccupied commercial buildings in both Leitrim and Donegal.

Ballymote Tubbercurry Fianna Fáil Councillor, Paul Taylor is the Cathaoirleach of the local authority in Sligo.

He says continued government investment and enhanced infrastructure in the north west is the only way to inject life into many local towns:
