Government 'keen' to see Mica Redress Scheme up and running

The Tánaiste has reiterated that the Government is keen to see the new Mica Redress Scheme up and running as soon as possible.

The long awaited enhanced scheme is expected to be given the green light in the New Year.

Leo Varadkar also says that he would like to see hundreds of Mica affected homes repaired or rebuilt next year.

He was responding to Donegal Sinn Fein TD Pearse Doherty, who quizzed the Tánaiste over when the new scheme would be rolled out and whether those responsible for the scandal will be held to account:
