Government urged to match European Commission Brexit funding for beef farmers

Government urged to match European Commission Brexit funding for beef farmers

The Government is being urged to match Brexit funding of €50m for beef farmers from the European Commission, bringing the total to €100m.

The Irish Farmers Association has welcomed the funding, and says it's "vital that every cent goes directly to farmers."

Speaking to Ocean FM News this morning, IFA president Joe Healy outlined what has been agreed:
