Green liquid at Donegal Bay not a cause for alarm

Uisce Eireann has moved to reassure that a bright green substance which appeared at Donegal Bay this week is not a cause for alarm.

The liquid was spotted flowing from a storm drain yesterday, sparking major concern among the local community.

But a spokesperson from Uisce Eireann has outlined that there is a storm water pipe survey taking place in Donegal Town and therefore the green substance is a harmless dye.

The survey will be ongoing over the next few weeks, subject to suitable tides.
