Almost half of people in nursing homes in the north west could be cared for at home.
That's according to a report published by Age Action Ireland this month.
Social workers surveyed for the study said that almost half of their patients could be at home if the proper supports were available.
Age Action Ireland members from the north west travelled to Dublin for their AGM this week.

Spokesperson Justin Moran says that despite some further investment in homehelp services by the Minister for Health Simon Harris - it's too little to deal with the demand:
