Hazelwood Forest in Sligo has been closed for essential works.
Having surveyed the forest, Coillte has decided to temporarily close the amenity to the public while essential works take place following damage caused by the storm.
As of today, there will be no access to the walks at Hazelwood until further notice.
It is hoped to have the works completed and the forest reopened within two weeks.
The access road to Hazelwood will be opened only to Coillte contractors who will transport the equipment needed for the clean-up operation.
The damage is said to be extensive, with many trees blocking paths and there's concern that some, which are now unstable, could also fall.
In some cases, the roots of fallen trees have destroyed sections of path, and these will also have to be replaced.
People are also being asked to please adhere to all of the safety notices posted by Coillte as these works get underway.
