A Sligo Leitrim TD is putting pressure on the Health Minister to address ongoing issues with local hospital care.
It comes as questions still remain as to when the sod will finally be turned on the long promised 42 bed medical unit at Sligo University Hospital.
The unit got planning permission in 2019 however there has been little progress since.
Independent TD Marian Harkin says while the unit won't be the answer to solve issues in Sligo University Hospital this coming winter, short term solutions must be found as a matter of urgency:
