A hiker is recovering in hospital after being rescued off Benbulben.
The Sligo Leitrim Mountain Rescue Team were tasked yesterday to provide assistance to the casualty.

The hiker sustained a lower limb injury on the eastern slopes of the mountain.
By coincidence a member of Donegal Mountain Rescue Team happened to be hiking in the area and was able to reassure and keep the casualty comfortable until Sligo Leitrim Mountain Rescue arrived on scene.

The casualty was taken off the mountain by stretcher and transported by ambulance to Sligo University hospital for further treatment.
