A hiker has been rescued after getting into difficulty on steep terrain in the Benwiskin area of Sligo.
The alarm was raised yesterday afternoon, with the Sligo Leitrim Mountain Rescue Team tasked to the scene by Gardai.

The hiker was on steep ground and found themselves unable to descend.
The team went to their location and assisted them off the hill with the operation concluded just before 5pm.
